London Olympics inspires bodycare range for active people

A range of skin and bodycare products designed for active people by active people has been launched.

British entrepreneur Lara Morgan is the creative force behind ‘activbod’, which features a regime of products for pre, during and post exercise designed to make sport and physical activity a more appealing experience through better recovery and a pleasant bodycare experience.

“The big impetus [in developing activbod] was the impact London 2012 had in terms of raising the profile, awareness and accessibility of sports and fitness for all,” said Morgan, a keen triathlete who also hopes to encourage more people to start getting active.

Among the activbod range is a ‘turn up the heat roller gel’, what the company describes as a “contemporary twist” on traditional ‘muscle rub’ products. It features a camphor free fragrance and hands-free roller application.

Other products include a ‘cooling finish lotion’ which cools the skin as it moisturises, and ‘mind over matter’, a stimulating aroma stick balm which can be applied to neck, wrist and temples when mental focus or extra motivation are required.

Activbod says 10 per cent of net profits from sales will go to the Women’s Sport Trust charity, to be used for projects “that will bring parity to women’s sport including increasing the profile of female sporting role models”.
